Warranty/ Life Expectancy
Rinnai tankless water heater has a limited warranty on the heat exchanger for ten (10) years and five (5) years on the
remainder of the parts, compared to a typical 6-year warranty for hot water tanks. The life expectancy for traditional hot
water tanks is approximately 10 years. With Rinnai’s new technology, the life expectancy of the entire system is 25 years,
more than double that of a hot water tank. Additionally, disposing of hot water tanks is extremely difficult and is typically
regulated by strict environmental laws. Most landfills in the United States do not accept hot water tanks due to environmentally
hazardous materials. Conversely, disposing of the Rinnai is much simpler; because the product materials are built more
